The Kuwait Men’s World Open Squash Championship was held on Kuwait’s Green Island from the 1st to the 7th November 2009. The event brought together the world’s best squash players, including Australia’s David Palmer.

The organising committee engaged Great Big Events to produce world class opening and closing ceremonies, the Official Championship Gala dinner and sports presentation.

Auditoria was engaged by Great Big Events as Technical Director. Working with a local production company, Five Levels, Auditoria’s Scott Willsallen designed and managed all technical systems including:

• Audio
• Lighting
• Video
• Staging
• Production Communications
• IT and computer networking
• Liaison with the local broadcaster

During the Closing Ceremony it was announced that the event will be hosted by Saudi Arabia in 2010.
