Auditoria successfully bid for the audio design and direction for the 2007 National Day Parade which was held in August 2007. The event was performed on a huge floating stage in Marina Bay, it was the first National Day Parade to be held outside the National stadium for many years. The audience area is a single grandstand that holds 27,500 people who were overwhelmed by the performance and ceremony of NDP07.

We were privileged to have the opportunity to reprise our efforts on the 2007 NDP with our successful bid for the 2008 event. As with 2007, the venue was the floating platform and seating at Marina Bay, however the stage design and show content were vastly different.

The outdoor environment in Singapore must be considered carefully when designing an audio system due to the effects that humidity, temperature and wind speed changes have on the propagation of sound energy. The audio system design accounts for these dynamics by constantly measuring and subtly adjusting the system to counteract the environmental changes as they occur.
