The Malaysian department of tourism hold an annual event to promote tourism in the region. The Citrawarna event has remained unchanged for 10 years until the planning for 2007 where there was a desire to modernise and significantly improve all elements of the show. An Australian production team was assembled, many of which were key in the production of Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Ceremonies, to create and deliver Citrawarna 2007. Auditoria was recommended to the production team by Chong Lim, the musical director for the show. The event was held in Putrajaya to an audience of over 30,000 including the Prime Minister of Malaysia and many government officials and business leaders. Tourism Malaysia were very happy with the event, calling it the most successful Citrawarna ever. |
