Scott Willsallen of Auditoria recently completed the commissioning of a helicopter rescue training simulator for CareFlight. The simulator contains a four channel audio system capable of reproducing the sound pressure levels experienced during flight. The work included the recording, analysis and acoustical measurement of an actual helicopter. This provided the design guide targets for sound pressure level and frequency response for the loudspeaker system to be installed in simulator. The four independent channels also allows for multichannel program material to be used for public display purposes and further training.

Auditoria also managed the design and implementation of a lifting system to enable suspension of the simulator for real situation winch training at height with the noise level of an actual situation.
